In this video I will explain to you my personal postcard marketing direct mail costs.
The direct mail advertising costs might very depending on the size of postcard or the style of postcard you wish to use for your kind of business however the principles will be the same for all businesses and advertising.

So this calculation is not for bulk if you buy bulk you will be able to save more money and get your cost per postcard down however these are some rough estimate numbers…
Postcards 0.07 cents
Stamps 0.58 cents
Leads 0.14 cents
This is a total of 0.79 cents per post card.
I started with a small postcard advertising budget and when I begin my direct mail business I started with 10 postcards per day and that was a total of $7.9 per day in postcard advertising.
So Monday through Friday is 5 days which means that the total cost per week in per week in direct mail advertising was $39.50
However the next level of understanding how much is direct mail advertising or how much does direct mail just direct mill marketing cost is understanding your price for your product or service.
For example I make a $300 commission for each set is dollar commission for each sale in my postcard advertising campaigns.
This means that if I break even on my postcard advertising I will card advertising I would be spending $300 total is the dollars total and with that $300 I would be getting 380 postcards to try to make one sale.
Because I personalize my postcards I get a higher than average response rate so let’s say that response rate is 3% at the worst case scenario…
With a 3% response rate that means you are getting 11.4 leads from 380 postcards.
If you have the worst conversion rate possible which is 1% that means you will make 1 make 1 sale for the 11.4 leads…
That means that I will make $300 which will cover the cost of the postcards.
So to calculate how much is direct mail advertising for your business if your business if you offer additional products or services make sure to calculate that into your numbers as the lifetime customer value and then go ahead and figure out your conversion ratios so that you can discover the truth about how much is direct mail advertising for your business because it will vary from business to business depending on a few different factors and if you buy in bulk.
